Visa Information

Invitations for visa applications will be issued as part of the workshop registration via IEEE and the local conference management.

By Plane

The city’s airport, Hannover-Langenhagen, is located about 11 kilometers to the north of Hannover. 

From there, you can:

  • Take the S-Bahn train to the city center (central station). It runs every 30 minutes and costs about 3 Euro. Visit the Workshop Location & Hotel Information tab for more information on public transport in Hannover.

  • Take a taxi. The taxi ride will take about 15 minutes and will cost approximately 20 Euro.

By Train

Hannover Central Station, aka Hannover Hauptbahnhof, is located in the city center of Hannover. There are a number of direct trains to the Netherlands, France, Switzerland and Austria that ride multiple times a day. The InterCity Express (ICE) connects Hannover to Berlin, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Cologne, Stuttgart and Munich.

By Car

The German Motorways (Autobahn) A2 and A7 lead to Hannover.
